Tyler Farr

  • Tyler Farr is a classically trained opera singer who took voice lessons during his teenage years and sung with the prestigious OAKE National Choir.
  • Farr's mom was an aspiring singer who ended up married to George Jones' touring guitarist. Tyler said: "I first fell in love with country music when I was 16 after spending a summer on the road with my stepfather, who played lead guitar for George Jones. I went from being a bouncer at Tootsie's to convincing them to let me sing there."
  • At 21, Farr made his way to Nashville to try his hand at being a star. "I saw guys who'd been there for ten years and nothing had happened," Farr said of the sobering reality. "I got there, thinking I've got an album… I'm gonna be a star. It cost me $25,000. It was a total mess. You start to realize: it doesn't matter how good, or what you've got. There's just so much more to it."
  • Farr's breakthough came when country-rapper Colt Ford recruited him as a background singer. "Colt called me personally; he said, 'I know you're trying to make it. Take the job. I'll let you open for me.'"

"I learned a whole lot that year out on the road, singing 'Dirt Road Anthem' before Jason (Aldean) ever cut it," Farr added. "Dreaming every damn night, learning the ropes."
  • Tyler Farr walked Jason Aldean's daughter Keeley down the aisle at the "Burnin' It Down" singer's March 2015 wedding.
  • Tyler Farr had his own wedding when he married Hannah Freeman in a 30-minute, outdoor ceremony in Nolensville, Tennessee on October 10, 2016. Jason Aldean, Lee Brice and Colt Ford were all groomsmen.
