  • The misspelled song title follows in the grand tradition of such song names as "Pop Muzik," "Hot In Herre," "Grillz" and "California Gurls."
  • The song's music video features a guest appearance by Traee Ellis Ross, who takes on the role of a talk show host named Pearl Edwards. The Black-ish actress introduces Tyler, who's clad in a blond wig and a baby-blue suit. After an awkward back-and-forth between the pair, Tyler delivers an energetic performance of the song. However, once he starts playing the piano, the set catches on fire causing widespread chaos.

  • During a performance at a small Apple Music-broadcasted show in Los Angeles, Tyler revealed to the crowd that he'd originally written "Earfquake" with Justin Bieber in mind. He also claimed that he had offered the song to Rihanna. Both pop stars rejected it.
  • Boyz II Men and Charlie Wilson brought a doo-wop sound to this song when they joined Tyler to perform it at the Grammy Awards in 2020. Igor won for Best Rap Album at the ceremony.
