  • Tyler, the Creator told The Carmichael Show's Jerrod Carmichael that he originally wrote this love song for Justin Bieber.

"I love '90s R&B because it was hard drums, pretty chords, and people trying to outrun themselves hitting those gospel runs, and it just always got to me," he said. "I wrote 'Glitter' for Bieber. I wanted Justin to have that. I thought he would be so cool doing that, but he never returned the call. I was just like, 'F--- it, I'll write it and just make it cool.'"
  • Tyler hasn't given up hope on writing a song for the Biebs. The rapper revealed in 2019 that he'd originally penned his hit single "Earfquake" with Bieber in mind. He also claimed that he had offered the song to Rihanna. Both pop stars rejected it.
