Songfacts®:

  • "Blinded By A Lie" is the first track on the 1983 Making Contact album. Running 3:58, it was co-written by lead vocalist Phil Mogg and keyboard man/guitarist Neil Carter. In March 2011, Neil confirmed to Songfacts that the song was a comment on the music business, adding, "It does refer to a specific person and sequence of events but I can't name names! We had just got out of a situation and that was Phil venting his anger and frustration."

He added it was similar in sentiment to Queen's "Death On Two Legs." >>
