Songfacts®:

  • "Dreaming" is the final track on the 1982 Mechanix album. Co-written by time-serving front man Phil Mogg and recent recruit Neil Carter, it runs to 3:57. When it was suggested that had a similar inspiration to "I'm A Loser," Neil told Songfacts: "Yes it is about those times and maybe harks back to the 60's when Phil was a younger man. That sort of 'Brighton' thing is quite evocative and it's strange Phil now lives just across the road from the beach here!"

Phil Mogg – the original and only – vocalist with UFO, is a Londoner born and bred, although like Neil and most successful rock musicians, he has spent a lot of time literally living out of a suitcase. >>>
