Songfacts®:

  • This is a track from Erase Me, Underoath's first album of original material since 2010's Ø. The record finds the Florida post-hardcore outfit shedding their faith-filled worldview replacing them with lead vocalist Spencer Chamberlain's lyrics about his drug dependency. He told Kerrang.

"It's a breakup record, but not about a girl: this is about the end of my chemical dependency. It's about my breakup with drugs, and the struggle of me realising that I had a problem. I was in my final years of using while writing the album, and by the time I finished writing it, I was clean."
