In one fight she tears of a necklace he gave her of a black heart (symbolism), and as he walks out angry a police officer roughs him up to get him away. After what is presumed to be a while, she calls him wanting him back. This time outside her apartment, the same officer happens to be passing, as he pulls his hands out of his hoodie to show her the necklace the officer draws his gun and kills the man. >>>
