Songfacts®:

  • This Dance track finds Usher telling a story of love in the club. The cut features the production skills of Pharrell Williams, who delivers a smooth '80s boogie soul sound. He previously helmed Usher's 2012 track "Twisted."
  • Nicki Minaj jumps in and delivers 16 bars, in which she makes sure the guys know what to do with a good woman. ("Tell your man play the back like a spine, he only last six seconds like a Vine.")

The song is Usher and Minaj's second collaboration. The pair previously teamed up in 2010 for the hit tune "Lil Freak."
  • The Philip Andelman-directed video finds Usher showing off his dance skills in an underground club. Nicki Minaj appears about half way through as she delivers her verse while sitting in front of a wall of TV monitors. Asked by MTV News' Sway Calloway how much involvement did he actually have in the treatment, Usher replied: "For me, it felt like, 'Let's go against the grain of what you think this song's gonna be about. But also, too, give you what you feel you were getting ready to get."
