  • Rob from Duluth, GaRick from Humboldt, you just trashed your credibility. U2 is the best band? Really? And you actually admit you like the Goo Goo Dolls? Turn in your man card and don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.
  • Ben from Nyc, MsLong Live VR!
  • Amy from Leeds, EnglandI love this song, its one of the best on the album, apart from sucker train blues and fall to pieces.
  • Rick from Humboldt, IaThere's absolutely nothing better than U2, not even a reincarnation of GNR. There's a song the Goo Goo Dolls sing called big machine and its a hundred times better.
  • Shrek from CaitlinWhat's wrong with U2??
  • Michael from Oakville Ont, CanadaThe themes presented in the song big machine go back to Scotts (the lead vocalist) days in STP. This song is about being in the spot light of the media and fans and looking for an escape 'Get away without borders I'm a slave, New World Order'. The reason that it goes back to his STP days is because it is very similar to an old STP song Vasoline, which is also about being in a place where you wish not to be. But the song itself moves beyond Vasoline, as he refers to his son and his desire to be a better father. Because of his kid, he has a new reason to clean up his act and deal with life or the big machine has he calls it. As for the "death to u2" comment, Scott has always looked up to bono as an inspiration for his own lyrics.
  • Norman from Detroit, Mivelvet revolver is the best band around today. period. this isnt there best song, but its betterthen other stuff there calling rock out there. DEATH TO U2!
  • Lyzette from Moorpark, CaThis song is one of the awesomest from the album. Velvet Revolver rules!! :-)
