Songfacts®:

  • Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo told Musicradar.com about this take on traditional Indian music. He said: "What's interesting is, the song came about because of some arguments with the band, just my way of saying, 'Can't we make this better? Can't we make our relationships easier?'
I liked bringing in Amrita Sen on vocals. That was the last step of the process in recording the song, and she really brought it to another level." The song also features Nishat Khan playing the sitar.
  • The song was originally written and recorded by Weezer in 2004-05 but never formally released. A few months before the release of Raditude, Sugar Ray recorded the track with a guest appearance by Cuomo and included it on their album Music For Cougars.
  • The first Hindi verse is loosely translated as "There will come a day when love will reign. Where there is love, life flourishes." >>>
