Songfacts®:

  • Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo described this folk-country stomper to the NME as "a bad boy country song." He wrote it with country legend Mac Davis who entered the Songwriters Hall Of Fame in 2006 and penned In The Ghetto for Elvis.
  • Cuomo told the NME about his collaboration with the country veteran: "He's a generation or two ahead of me and we have a mutual friend that suggested we get together. I went over to Mac Davis' house and he started playing me all these songs. He's kind of out-of-the-loop as he didn't have a way of getting the songs out there, but they were all incredible. They were like timeless classic songs. There's something about that generation. The songs sound so classic, so I was happy to get involved on one of them and bring it to Weezer."
