You Don't Love Me Anymore

Album: Off The Deep End (1992)

Songfacts®:

  • This is an original song, but the video is a parody of Extreme's "More Than Words." The video was shot in black and white, and shows Al and another man with acoustic guitars. Al never actually plays the guitar. Halfway through the video, he loses his pick in the sound hole and smashes the other guy's guitar. >>>
    Suggestion credit:
    Andy - Arlington, VA
  • The slow tempo and vocal delivery indicate that this is a parody of the sensitive singer/songwriter style, notably James Taylor. >>>
    Suggestion credit:
    Cliff - Burkesville, KY

  • David Emmerson from Hawick, Scottish BordersI noticed that there is no mention of the fact that this song was adapted for an advertisement for Irn-Bru in the UK in the 1990's.
  • Graham from Fort WorthThat's Robert Goulet playing the piano.
  • Shandroise De Laeken from Davao City, Philippines2015-6-23 It's my first time ever hearing this song in a radio station, so this is unexpected. There's a song here in Philippines released in 2013 with such a theme (about a guy being mistreated by the girl) and I thought it is a unique song with such lyrics. But after listening to this song, researching and finding out this one is released in 1992, that Filipino singer must have had heard this song so he's such a copycat.
This is a harsh song sung gently. Cute!
  • Nathan from ., MnGreat song! He smashes the guitar at the end seemingly out of hurt.
  • Cynthia from Scranton, Pathis song and its are brilliant and so funny! weird al is amazing and mr yankovic if you ever read this, know that you have a huge fan in me!
  • Darrell from EugeneI had an ex-girlfriend who treated me like the guy in this song. Obviously I was pushed around a lot. Chandra Kennedy, if you are reading this, don't pay attention.
  • Ryan from Largo, FlThe music vid can be found here:

And the noise at the end was inspired by the uncredited song at the end of Nirvana's album, "Nevermind". It actually has a name, "Bite Me", discovered on Wikipedia:

  • Tony from Topeka, KsOn the album "Off the Deep End", there is about a 10-minute silence following the song, and at the very end, there's this very loud screeching and screaming for 8 seconds or so. Startled the crap out of me the first time I heard it.
  • Johnny from Los Angeles, Calol that's hilarious I'm looking for the music video now.
