  • Running to 5 minutes 53 seconds, the only ballad on the debut album by Wham! sees George Michael playing all the instruments except the drums (which were played by Trevor Morell) as well as supplying the vocal.
  • Michael was only 20 years old when he wrote this song. It proved that "Careless Whisper" - which appeared on the second Wham! album - could not be dismissed as a one-off.

    His vocal talents and lyrical ability are much in evident in this goodbye kiss from a one-night stand, although his actual casual sexual encounters as documented in "Outside" a decade and a half later were nothing like as romantic, even if the line "There's danger in a stranger" was oddly prophetic. >>>
