Songfacts®:

  • Wilbur Soot (real name Will Gold) is an English YouTuber who is best known for being the frontman and editor of the group YouTube channel SootHouse. The name "Soot" came from a Tamagotchi forum.

Soot released his debut EP, Your City Gave Me Asthma, in June 2020, taking the title from the asthma he developed while living in London.

This is the last song in a comic trilogy about an involuntary celibate e-boy's obsession with an e-girl. It follows "I'm In Love with an E-Girl" and "Internet Ruined Me."
  • The e-boy is now 26 but has had a crush on the e-girl for several years. The computer geek's love interest is now dating and he expresses his jealousy towards her boyfriend, Jared, throughout the song.

But he's in your bed and I'm in your Twitch chat
I've got the key and he's just a doormat
'Cause even though he's got social skills
That doesn't mean I can't pay the bills

The e-boy has got an office job and can afford to make sizable donations towards the e-girl's Twitch channel. Though aware he lacks social skills compared to her boyfriend and isn't as good looking, he is still pining for his crush.
  • Australian singer/producer Chevy sings the e-girl part of the song.
