Songfacts®:

  • In February 2009 Canadian singer-songwriter Feist made a guest appearance at the band's Loft studio in Chicago to record a duet with Jeff Tweedy that the frontman had sent her months earlier. This intimate song about the simple pleasures of love was to be the last track recorded for Wilco The Album. Feist also played percussion on Wilco's charity cover of Woody Guthrie's "The Jolly Banker." She'd originally met the band at the 2008 Grammys.
  • This was the first duet ever to be recorded on a Wilco album.
  • This sweet duet upset some Wilco fans. Tweedy noted: "We literally put 15 minutes on a record that did not raise an eyebrow, but if you make a pop song with Feist on it, people are going to cry like the sky's falling."
