Songfacts®:

  • Not to be confused with the classic Temptations song of the same name, this is the second single to be released from New Zealand singer-songwriter Willy Moon's debut album, Here's Willy Moon.
  • Moon's music was described by The Guardian as "a brilliantly odd fusion of 50s rock'n'roll and modern production" using "hip-hop production techniques." Explaining his songwriting style to Billboard magazine, he said: "What I'm trying to do is get the song across in the most direct way possible. I'm taking a lot of inspiration from old rock and roll music. The songs were really short, very simplistic. I grew up listening to a lot of punk music as well."
