Songfacts®:

  • According to an advertisement in the October 7, 1978 issue of Melody Maker, "Over the last few years 'Bad Weather Blues' has been a highly popular feature of all Wishbone Ash gigs. Now for the first time, this song is available on record, as a 10 minute live version."

It was recorded in Sheffield in 1977. Fifteen thousand "Limited Edition In Colour Sleeve" copies of this record were pressed on 12", which includes the full-length album version of "You See Red" on the MCA label.
  • "Bad Weather Blues" was written by guitarist Andy Powell, and according to Mark Chatterton, co-author of the official Wishbone Ash biography, it was originally recorded for the Locked In album in 1975, but although it never made that album, it went on to become a live favorite used as an encore number.

The above version was recorded live at Sheffield City Hall on October 18, 1977. >>>
