Living Proof

Songfacts®:

  • "Living Proof" is an extremely rare Wishbone Ash recording as it features a female lead vocal: Claire Hamill, who wrote it with Ash lead guitarist Laurie Wisefield. Hamill was briefly a member of the band.

The song was released on January 4, 1980, backed by a live version of "Jailbait" from Live In Tokyo. When performed live, group member Andy Powell did the vocal.
  • As with all Wishbone Ash singles before and since it got absolutely nowhere chart-wise, but it was and remains one of the band's most performed and recorded songs. Probably the definitive recording is the live version from the double album Live Dates 2. >>>
