Songfacts®:

  • This song - if it can be called that - was written to expose the scam of fake fans, fake likes and astronomically inflated hits on social media sites. It appears to have been a collaborative effort by a team put together by documentary maker Chris Morris for the Channel 4 Dispatches series in the UK. It remains to be seen if any of its contributors would want a writing credit. The team began writing the "song" at 3pm and recorded it an hour later. In less than five months it ran up over a hundred thousand hits on YouTube, and around another four thousand in less than two weeks after the documentary was screened. >>>
