Songfacts®:

  • This bouncy anti-hater anthem finds YG reteaming with Drake. The pair previously partnered on YG's hit 2014 single, "Who Do You Love" YG recalled Dreezy's contribution in a Genius attribution:

"I hit him and told him I had a record I wanted him to hear and see if he f---ed with. He was like, 'Send it to me.' I sent it to him and he hit me like, 'I f--k with this s--t. This is an anthem. I got you.' He was supposed to be turning his album in, so he really wasn't supposed to be doing nothing. It was at the last minute. But he got the verse out the way, just like that. It's just like a respect thing. Bro f---s with what I do. He knows I got my side on lock."
  • Oakland rapper Kamaiyah performs the hook with YG. This was her first major feature and the track was released a couple of months after Kamiyah dropped her debut mixtape, A Good Night in the Ghetto, to favorable reviews.
  • YG salutes Drake during his braggadocios rhymes.

If you ain't know me, bet you know now
Drizzy came through with the verse for me both times

YG explained: "He said He f---s with my music. He knows I f--- with his. We all peoples. Everybody in his camp. Everybody in my camp. It's regular. I said that, because niggas wouldn't say that. Niggas wasn't like 'Yeah. I got two verses from the homie. First album and the second album.' They ain't gonna wanna talk about that. That's why I said it."
