Songfacts®:

  • You Me At Six frontman Josh Franceschi missed the rehearsal when this song was put together, as he was ill that day. However, when drummer Dan Flint sent him the demo, he instantly saw its potential. He recalled to Kerrang:

"It immediately reminded me of a lot of my favorite anthemic indie rock songs, like The Strokes or The Killers. It made me want to write words straight away. I messaged everyone on our group WhatsApp like, 'F---ing hell, this is good.' I think they were surprised and pleased by how much I liked it. It's a very honest song, and I instantly felt better after writing it and recording it."
