Songfacts®:

  • Vocalist Josh Franceschi wrote this on acoustic guitar during You Me At Six's first session at Black Bird Studios in Nashville. Once the band returned to the UK, they worked it up at drummer Dan Flint's home studio.
  • Franceschi explained the song's meaning to Kerrang: "It's about the pursuit of someone you wanted for a long time. It might not always be the right place or time for you to connect, but when it happens it's really rewarding and everything you'd hoped it would be."
