Songfacts®:

  • Here, YoungBoy Never Broke Again reflects on his time in prison and his paranoia that people are out to get him. The rapper is on full alert as he watches out of his window for his enemies.
  • YoungBoy is joined on the track by his fellow Louisiana native Lil Wayne. Weezy's verse is mainly about a drive-by sexual encounter during which he throws in several references to windows - both the glass kind and the computer operating system.
  • With their similar flows and mutual ties to Louisiana, the two rappers connect seamlessly on this track. It is surprising that this is their first collaboration.
  • Smash David supplied the production. The Miami beatmaker has also worked with Big Sean ("Bounce Back "), Chris Brown ("Pills & Automobiles") and Khalid ("Location").
  • This is a track from Top, which YoungBoy titled after his childhood nickname, Lil Top.
  • Top debuted at #1 on the US albums chart dated September 26, 2020. It marked the third time YoungBoy had reached the summit in less than 12 months. He also hit the apex with two mixtapes; in October 2019 with AI YoungBoy 2 and in April 2020 with 38 Baby 2. The previous act to achieve the feat was BTS, who topped chart three separate times in a span of 10 months and 25 days from June 2018 and April 2019.
