Songfacts®:

  • YoungBoy Never Be Broke Again, born Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, is a rapper from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He released his first mixtape, Life Before Fame, as NBA YoungBoy in 2014 when he was 15-years-old. The teen artist has had several run-ins with the law and on August 23, 2017, a Baton Rouge judge sentenced Gaulden to a suspended 10-year prison term for his involvement in a drive-by shooting. This song is the lead single from his debut album.
  • YoungBoy talks on the hook about staying inside to avoid the press.

Tryna hide from the cameras, I ain't going outside today
Couldn't find Hi-Tec, so I'm drinking on Act today

The teenage rapper doesn't like the press taking pictures of him every time he steps outside. So he's decided to stay inside and pour up some Actavis, a brand of promethazine and codeine.
