• NBA player DeMarcus Cousins is on friendly terms with Yung Bleu, and when he heard this track, he told the Alabama rapper he envisioned Drake on the song. Cousins contacted the OVO head honcho hoping he would jump on a remix. Three days later, Drake responded to Cousins asking him to send the record.
  
  Yung Bleu told Complex Drake turned the verse around in one day. "It only took a couple of hours," he said. "Everybody on my team was thinking that if he did do it, it was going to take at least like three or four months to get it. He sent it back the same day."
• Keeping the theme of the original romantic song, Bleu and Drake confess to still have feelings for their love interests. In Drake's instance, their relationship didn't go as far as he'd wanted to.

• Empire released the remix on October 16, 2020 as part of an expanded edition of the Love Scars EP. The song debuted at #52 on the Hot 100, marking Bleu's career-first visit to the chart and Drake's 228th entry. The track's success simultaneously pushed the EP into the Billboard 200.
• Nate Rhoads supplied the trap beat for both the original and remix. A music producer based out of New Jersey, Rhoads co-produced both "Rewind" and "No Days Off" on Fetty Wap's eponymous debut album.
• Yung Bleu co-stars in the video with social media star India Love, who plays his love interest. Drake doesn't feature in the clip but his verse still plays over the visual's storyline of Yung Bleu not wanting his girl to marry someone else.
• Yung Bleu later included the Drake-featuring remix on his debut album, Moon Boy.
