Songfacts®:

  • This easy listening tune is the fifth single from country music group Zac Brown Band's first major studio album, The Foundation.
  • The song portrays a couple, who "don't have a lot of money, all we need is love." They feel, "free as we'll ever be." During a concert Brown said the inspiration for the song was looking at the view from on top of a mountain in Australia when he could see for miles on every side all around. Being up there made him feel as free as he's ever been.
  • The song's music video features footage filmed during a nine-day United Service Organization/Armed Forces Entertainment sponsored tour across Kuwait and Iraq.
  • When this reached #1 on Billboard's Country Songs chart, The Foundation became the first major-label debut album to yield four country chart-toppers since Brooks & Dunn's Brand New Man in 1991-92. The other three tracks from the disc that reached peak position were "Chicken Fried," "Toes," and "Highway 20 Ride."
