  • Zac and Shelly Brown had five kids together: four daughters, Justice, Lucy, Georgia and Joni, and one son, Alexander. The couple separated in 2018 and for several years Brown did not see his children as often he'd have liked because of his touring commitments. However, when the COVID lockdown kicked in, the singer was able to spend an extended period at home with his children.

Written and recorded while in quarantine, "The Man Who Loves You the Most" is a sweet tribute to his four daughters. Brown's inspiration was the increased quality time he spent with his children. The tune serves as a reminder of the importance of family; the singer advises his girls to go see the world and marry, but to remember he'll always be the one who loves them most.

"Since we can't tour, this is the first time in years I've been able to spend an extended period of time at home with my kids," Brown explained. "I'm blessed with four incredible daughters... this song is a constant reminder that their dad loves them unconditionally."
  • The Zac Brown Band debuted the father-daughter serenade in May 2020 during an episode of actor John Krasinski's online series Some Good News. It shows the group delivering a surprise performance of the heartfelt song at a virtual wedding.
  • Zac Brown previously sung of his love for his four girls on his 2015 track "I'll Be Your Man (Song for a Daughter)."
  • Brown wrote this country track with Adam James (Kenny Chesney's "Knowing You") and Ben Simonetti, who is a member of the Zac Brown-led trio Sir Rosevelt.
  • Zac Brown band performed the song live for the first time on the November 19, 2020 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! Their performance took place at Camp Southern Ground, Brown's nonprofit project that supports "veterans, their families and their transition to life after service."
  • Jocelyn Cooper directed the music video, which portrays the unbreakable father-daughter bond. We watch a woman look back through home movies that show her father supporting her through every milestone, highlighting their unconditional love. Brown said he hopes the clip serves as a reminder for us to cherish our loved ones, even from far away.

"As a father to four girls myself, I know first hand how special the father-daughter bond is," he reflected. "When creating this video, it was important to make something that serves as a reminder of the importance of our loved ones and that, through the good times and bad, a father's love will always endure."
