Songfacts®:

  • "Look What You've Done" is a breakup song where Zara Larsson is empowered rather than heartbroken.

    Cause now that you're gone
    I'm number one
Boy, I should thank you for who I've become
    Don't need no one

The singer is grateful for her relationship ending, as she has learned to love herself.
  • Larsson wrote the song with regular Little Mix collaborator Kamille. Among the hits the British songwriter co-penned for the girl group are "Black Magic" and "Shout Out To My Ex."
  • Larsson explained to NME that she set out to write a song about resilience and positivity in the face of a broken romance. "That one was fun to make because I do look at myself as a very strong woman," she said. "But at the same time, because I am so strong, I sometimes like to write songs that reveal... not that I'm weak exactly, but what's the word? Vulnerable."
  • Steve Mac (Ed Sheeran, Mabel, Demi Lovato) produced the song. By making it into a dance anthem channeling disco vibes, he emphasizes the track's upbeat lyrical content.
