Songfacts®:

  • Now, I'm gonna stay in my zone
I'm tired of picking that bone
And I can't be bothered to fight it no more, no

This moody slow burner seems to reflect Zayn's state of mind during his time with One Direction. His last public performance as a member of 1D was their On the Road Again Tour gig in Hong Kong on March 18, 2015. There were four members left in One Direction after Zayn departed the band.
  • During the chorus, Zayn addresses the haters who hide behind the anonymity of the internet. He may also be alluding to the Twitter bickering between himself and 1D's Louis Tomlinson.
  • The concept behind the song was created while Zayn was in Las Vegas. His producer Malay Ho, who is best known for executive producing Frank Ocean's Channel Orange, recalled to Fader: "We were sitting in the club and he was just like, 'This situation, me in Vegas, I've done this before a million times, like all over the world, but not like this.' It was a super simple concept, but that perspective comes from what he experienced at such a young age."
  • Not only is this the fourth track on Mind Of Mine, it was also the fourth song to be released off the album.
