Songfacts®:

  • This slinky song finds Zayn singing about looking after a partner for the rest of their lives. The former One Direction member wrote the song around September or October 2017 while he was still dating Gigi Hadid. (The couple announced their split in March 2018). Zayn told Ryan Seacrest:

"I was in love, and I think that's pretty evident. I was aspiring to be in love with someone for the rest of my life and the rest of theirs, as we all do. Things change and we move forward in life. Times change, but that's what I was thinking when I wrote it. You get to really put your experience into something. It should be remembered forever."
  • Zayn penned the tune with Anthony Hannides and Michael Hannides of MYKL, who are the British production team that worked with the singer on his "Pillowtalk" single. It was written and recorded at Jimi Hendrix's iconic Electric Lady Studios in New York.
  • The song's epic heist video was developed by Zayn in collaboration with director/producer Jose Padilha of Robocop and Narcos fame. The clip, which is a sequel to Zayn's "Dusk Till Dawn" visual features Cuban-American actor Steven Bauer (Scarface, Breaking Bad) as a kingpin trying to keep Zayn under his control.
