Songfacts®:

  • Zayn joins forces with OVO hitmaker PartyNextDoor on this rhythmic, dancehall-flavored pop confection in which they trade reassurances to a young woman, telling her to enjoy her youth and not to worry as she still has plenty of time to find love.
  • Jahron Brathwaite, better known under the stage name of PartyNextDoor, is a Canadian rapper and R&B singer who was the first artist signed to Drake's OVO Sound record label in 2013.

PartyNextDoor has recorded several times with his OVO Sound boss, including his own tunes, "Over Here," "Recognize" and "Come and See Me" and Drake's "Preach", "Heat of the Moment", "With You" and "Since Way Back."

PartyNextDoor has also seen success as a songwriter, most notably for Rihanna's "Work", which topped the Billboard Hot 100.
  • Zayn previously dabbled his toes in the American hip-hop world when he collaborated with Chris Brown and Usher for a remix of C-Breezy's 2016 track, "Back To Sleep."
  • The smooth production was supplied by Frank Dukes, who has also worked with Drake, Rihanna and Lorde, and Murda Beatz, who has previously supplied beats for the likes of Drake, French Montana, Nicki Minaj and Migos.
  • The NSFW clip was shot home-movie style at Malik's real-life London home in early April 2017. He invited a bunch of guests for a hedonistic house party and had cameras capture the whole thing. In a statement director Calmatic said it was pretty accurate in terms of chronicling the late-night vibe at the star's bashes.

"We met at his crib and he said he wanted to throw the wildest house party imaginable. So we invited everyone we knew and let the cameras roll. The rest is history."
  • The song was included on the Japanese version of Zayn's second studio album, Icarus Falls.
