  • Hello, it's me
I was wondering if after all these years you'd like to meet
    To go over everything
They say that time's supposed to heal ya, but I ain't done much healing
    Hello, can you hear me?
I'm in California dreaming about who we used to be
When we were younger and free
I've forgotten how it felt before the world fell at our feet

There's such a difference between us
    And a million miles

    Hello from the other side
    I must've called a thousand times
To tell you I'm sorry for everything that I've done
But when I call, you never seem to be home
    Hello from the outside
At least I can say that I've tried
To tell you I'm sorry for breaking your heart
But it don't matter, it clearly doesn't tear you apart anymore

    Hello, how are you?
It's so typical of me to talk about myself, I'm sorry
    I hope that you're well
Did you ever make it out of that town where nothing ever happened?

It's no secret that the both of us
    Are running out of time

So hello from the other side (other side)
I must've called a thousand times (thousand times)
To tell you I'm sorry for everything that I've done
But when I call, you never seem to be home
    Hello from the outside (outside)
At least I can say that I've tried (I've tried)
To tell you I'm sorry for breaking your heart
But it don't matter, it clearly doesn't tear you apart anymore

    Ooh, anymore
    Ooh, anymore
    Ooh, anymore
    Anymore

Hello from the other side (other side)
I must've called a thousand times (thousand times)
To tell you I'm sorry for everything that I've done
But when I call, you never seem to be home
    Hello from the outside (outside)
At least I can say that I've tried (I've tried)
To tell you I'm sorry for breaking your heart
But it don't matter, it clearly doesn't tear you apart anymore Writer/s: Adele Laurie Blue Adkins, Gregory Allen Kurstin

  • AnonymousYeah they say had a draft of the song for 6 months and then completed writing it because of music industry lingo as i call it. I had this song many years before and would practice it...there was another girl singer that visited and had some karaoke singing of some cover songs..so i am guessing they were holding back since so many artists know songs i have been practicing...no takers so they finished it...but my first name is Greg...and i keep asking and trying to connect to be paid royalties...
  • Gino from HoustonI cowrote Hello, and such coincidence that it is credited Gregory Allen Kurstin while my first and middle name is also Gregory Allen, but I name my middle name Alan on documents but it is Allen on my birth certificate. My original version followed much of the path and lyrics as the recorded song by Adele which she listened in on me to then write the song. But my heartfelt pain was towards the music business and Polygram after attempting to call and contact them many times only to receive poor etiquette. What makes the condition of the heart even worse is that Bon Jovi agreed to a 2 percent payment of royalties for songs I cowrote on Slippery When Wet and New Jersey. I have never been paid to this date and still receiving the cold shoulder from everyone I wrote and cowrote songs for.
  • Kenny Blake from IndianapolisWhile Adele has a great voice her songs depict broken relationships and/or death. I still would if I could though.
  • George from Vancouver, Canada"hello from the other side" sounded like she was trying to reach someone dear who'd died.
  • Chi Girl from NigeriaThis is why show organizers prefer non-live singing. There isn't likely to be a mess up. You can successfully deceive people into thinking you sang your heart out when you were just lip-syncing.
