  • Something's wrong 'cause my mind is fading
And everywhere I look, there's a dead end waiting
Temperature's dropping at the rotten oasis
Stealing kisses from the leprous faces

Heads are hanging from the garbageman trees
    Mouthwash, jukebox, gasoline
Pistols are pointing at a poor man's pockets
Smiling eyes ripping out of his sockets

Got a devil's haircut in my mind
Got a devil's haircut in my mind
Got a devil's haircut in my mind
Got a devil's haircut in my mind

Love machines on the sympathy crutches
Discount orgies on the dropout buses
Hitchin' a ride with the bleedin' noses
Comin' to town with the briefcase blues

Got a devil's haircut in my mind
Got a devil's haircut in my mind
Got a devil's haircut in my mind
Got a devil's haircut in my mind

Something's wrong 'cause my mind is fading
    Ghetto-blastin' disintegrating
Rock 'n' roll, know what I'm saying?
    Everywhere I look, there's a devil waiting

Got a devil's haircut in my mind
Got a devil's haircut in my mind
Got a devil's haircut in my mind
Got a devil's haircut in my mind

    Devil's haircut in my mind
    Devil's haircut in my mind

  • Bob from SacramentoBeck is the best! Genius songwriter, What a cool explanation of an awesome song. yeah!
  • David from Syracuse, Nythis song is a riot! the beat is excellent...I play drums and this is good, especially with the crazy bit of echo and reverb to the drums..IT WORKS! This guy is a wild man, and a pioneer in his field of Mad Music...we need more of this, and less of the bullcrap music that is made just to make money, because 14 year olds are suckered into the simplicity of it. BECK ROCKS! F the commercial music!
  • Sven from Huntington Beach, CaHe knows the song is non sense: this whole album is non sense. That's what is so ironic: he can make all this bulls... up and he wins Grammys(almost) for it! BRAVO!

  • Emily from Oklahoma City, OkI love this song. I had no idea he was a pompous ass.
  • Emily from Perth, AustraliaI'd rather see him arrogant and egotistical, than be a sell-out and start making rubbish music so that everyone will buy his albums.
  • Cornflakes from Bfe, TnHe has good reason to be conceited.
  • Travis from Lawrence, KsMost people that have ever performed with Beck seem to leave the tour with the feeling that he is one of the most pompous, self-absorbed musicians they have ever encountered. I have heard of this from several artists, including Wayne Coyne of Flaming Lips. He must be quite humble.
  • Stefanie from Rock Hill, ScO dude. Now i remember! This song is great!
  • Kati from Superior, Co"Beck even made fun of it during his appearance on the TV show Futurama, with the line, 'What was that song about?'"

ah, I remember that. haha, he was good on that show. I love how humble he is.
