  • Oh, oh, oh
We're a thousand miles from comfort, we have traveled land and sea
But as long as you are with me, there's no place I'd rather be
I would wait forever, exalted in the scene
As long as I am with you, my heart continues to beat

With every step we take, Kyoto to The Bay
    Strolling so casually
We're different and the same, gave you another name
    Switch up the batteries

If you gave me a chance I would take it
It's a shot in the dark but I'll make it
Know with all of your heart, you can't shame me
When I am with you, there's no place I'd rather be

N-n-n-no, no, no, no place I'd rather be
N-n-n-no, no, no, no place I'd rather be
N-n-n-no, no, no, no place I'd rather be
    Ooh ooh

We staked out on a mission to find our inner peace
Make it everlasting so nothing's incomplete
It's easy being with you, sacred simplicity
As long as we're together, there's no place I'd rather be

With every step we take, Kyoto to The Bay
    Strolling so casually
We're different and the same, gave you another name
    Switch up the batteries

If you gave me a chance I would take it
It's a shot in the dark but I'll make it
Know with all of your heart, you can't shame me
When I am with you, there's no place I'd rather be

N-n-n-no, no, no, no place I'd rather be
N-n-n-no, no, no, no place I'd rather be
N-n-n-no, no, no, no place I'd rather be

When I am with you, there's no place I'd rather be (Yeah)

    Oh, oh
Be be be be be be be be be
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, yeah

If you gave me a chance I would take it
It's a shot in the dark but I'll make it
Know with all of your heart, you can't shame me
When I am with you, there's no place I'd rather be

  • Badger from Birmingham I wrote my own version to Rather Be ,it's called "lettuce and celery " I would love Jimmy Napes from Clean Bandit to hear it.
  • Camille from Toronto, OhThere's a huskiness in the female's voice that gives perfect emotion to the lyrics. This song is subtle and easy to listen to while your thoughts are elsewhere; it's great background music. A universal theme anyone can relate to, it's about putting your feelings of love on the line and hoping that your special someone wants to take a leap of faith with you that it will work out, because no matter where or in what circumstances, there's no place you'd rather be than with that person.
