  • Telling myself I won't go there
Oh, but I know that I won't care
Tryna wash away all the blood I've spilt
This lust is a burden that we both share
Two sinners can't atone from a lone prayer
Souls tied, intertwined by our pride and guilt

    (Ooh)
    There's darkness in the distance
From the way that I've been livin'
    But I know I can't resist it

Oh, I love it and I hate it at the same time
You and I drink the poison from the same vine
Oh, I love it and I hate it at the same time
Hidin' all of our sins from the daylight
From the daylight, runnin' from the daylight
From the daylight, runnin' from the daylight
Oh, I love it and I hate it at the same time

Tellin' myself it's the last time
Can you spare any mercy that you might find
If I'm down on my knees again?
Deep down, way down, Lord, I try
Try to follow your light, but it's night time
Please, don't leave me in the end

    (Ooh)
    There's darkness in the distance
    I'm beggin' for forgiveness (ooh)
But I know I might resist it, oh

Oh, I love it and I hate it at the same time
You and I drink the poison from the same vine
Oh, I love it and I hate it at the same time
Hidin' all of our sins from the daylight
From the daylight, runnin' from the daylight
From the daylight, runnin' from the daylight
Oh, I love it and I hate it at the same time

Oh, I love it and I hate it at the same time
You and I drink the poison from the same vine
Oh, I love it and I hate it at the same time
Hidin' all of our sins from the daylight
From the daylight, runnin' from the daylight
From the daylight, runnin' from the daylight

  • Marcus Crassus from Adelaid SaNGL sigma ligma 29 is kinda skibidi if you agree i recommend sending your kids to PAC honestly though, students here goon a bit too much but the alpha sigma's where very kind to me
  • Isa/isabella from UkI'm so in love with this song, it relates to me in millions of ways! and the fact he's a believer!? crazy! awesome song!
  • Esta from ZaPowerful song. Wow!
  • Bc Seattle Chic from WashingtonThank you fellow believer from Mt. It is absolutely all about the heart condition, the motives not necessarily all the choses. Anonymous, I respect that you are willing to take full responsibility to God, and you don't answer to me or anyone else here, but something I feel lead to share via Holy Spirit, is that should be something you take to God and ask Him and then be willing to get hardcore honest with yourself and him, before making a statement of judgment or implying what God will or won't do. I'm only going off my own personal experience, and years of correction where I found out, I didn't have a blameless walk like I thought I did. Because God was looking at my motives more then the things I was so worried about. I can state this because the Holy spirit lead me to send David Kushner a message on Christmas Eve and tell him how much God loves his honesty and that honesty was helping so many others open up and get honest with him. Literally saving souls for the kingdom. You have no idea what God has asked me and my family to walk through for over 7 years and the the fruit we are bearing is our proof we are His, it's evident in our lives everywhere we go, because we step out of the boat and obedience to God not what other Christians think He is. We make Him so small when we try to decide who He is, He is God and He can do whatever He wants, and if we could do it, just always walking in the daylight without falling to temptation, well I guess Jesus died a horrible death for nothing. I for one know I desperately need a Savior that is full of compassion and endless grace, because I mess up every single day.
  • A Beliver from MtAgree to disagree with anonymous, yes true Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the light, but some Humans struggle in and out, do things they know are not right but keep finding themselves there, who are we to judge, Judge not lest ye be Judged. Your walk is not my walk and vice versa. I am not by anyway even abit perfect, but I know For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God, thank you Jesus for forgiveness.
Remember everyone, a lesson I had to learn, it's the condition of the heart that speaks volumes to Christ.
  • Sheryl from Waterloo IowaLove the words and the music as well as the video
  • AnonymousYes we all sin, but you are being given a choice With Jesus. We can choose to stay in the light and leave the darkness, or stay in the darkness and ignore the light. As a claimed believer he kept choosing the same darkness (poison from the same vine). I sit here rn and can tell you that all you have to do is say no (It’s Temptation). And if anything bad comes from it then it was never God to begin with. If I’m wrong then I’ll answer to God and I take full responsibility on this paragraph. My opinion it’s not a Christian song because with God you never have to do anything bad nor keep drinking poison from that same vine bc we now have forgiveness and we are blessed with the gift of The Holy Spirit.
