  • I still remember the world
From the eyes of a child
    Slowly those feelings
Were clouded by what I know now

    Where has my heart gone
An uneven trade for the real world
I want to go back to
Believing in everything and knowing nothing at all

    I still remember the sun
    Always warm on my back
    Somehow it seems colder now

    Where has my heart gone
Trapped in the eyes of a stranger
I want to go back to
Believing in everything Writer/s: AMY LEE, BEN MOODY, DAVID HODGES

  • Gia from Roseville MichiganThis song reminds me of myself in some aspects, in my opinion it is about someone who was young and happy and had nothing to worry about or to be scared of. Then is put through some traumatic event as a result of that, the persons view on life changed as well as feeling safe. I'm sure everyone at some point in their lives wants to go back into their childhood to relive the good times instead of the bad, we can't change what happens to us. It makes us who we are today and pushes me to keep going and accept these things, people go through some crazy unbearable s--t and are still alive and happy to when they're ready they will share their stories.
  • Mike from Evansville, InI, too, miss the days when I was completely oblivious to how f--ked up this world is... This song gives meaning to the term "ignorance is bliss".
  • Tahlia from Penrith, Australiai agre with kitty sometimes i think this song was from my thoughts im only 16 but i get so lost in my own mind and thoughts, which is not a safe place for me, that i really wish i could go back to being a little child, where everything seemed so beautiful and warm and light and everything was a new adventure...
i love this song because i can relate to it so closely
  • Robin from Cypress, CaI can relate to this song, too. I put it on when I feel sad and really start to miss my childhood. I was one of those kids who never wanted to grow up so it's as if this song was destined for me. I don't think I was ever naive enough to believe the world was perfect, but I rediscover how imperfect it is every day now.
  • Cortney from Grand Junction, Coi feel exactly how the song states she is feeling.I dont understand how the world could be so great one day and then the next its pure evil.
  • Emilie from South Lake Tahoe, CaI've never heard this song which album is it on?? i thought i had all the albums but i guess not..... HELP!!!!
  • Kitty from Huntington Park, Ca=] I sometimes make believe that this song was writen for me.I feel as if Amy took my thoughts and made it into a song.I find it being a really beautiful song.I absoloutley love it.
  • Teresa from New York City, Nythis song reminds me of that girl i love this song too
