  • Taxi driver
Be my shrink for the hour
    Leave the meter running
    It's rush hour
So take the streets if you wanna
Just outrun the demons, could you?

    He said, "Allahu akbar"
I told him, "Don't curse me"
    "Bo Bo, you need prayer"
I guess it couldn't hurt me
If it brings me to my knees
    It's a bad religion, ooh
    This unrequited love
To me, it's nothin' but a one-man cult
And cyanide in my Styrofoam cup
I can never make 'em love me
    Never make 'em love me
    Love me, love me
    Love me, love me
    Love me, love me
    Love me, love me
    Love me, love

    Taxi driver
I swear I've got three lives
Balanced on my head like steak knives
I can't tell you the truth about my disguise
    I can't trust no one

    And you say, "Allahu akbar"
I told him, "Don't curse me"
    "Bo Bo, you need prayer"
I guess it couldn't hurt me
If it brings me to my knees
    It's a bad religion
    Oh, unrequited love
To me, it's nothin' but a one-man cult
And cyanide in my Styrofoam cup
I can never make them love me
    Never make 'em love me
    No, no, ah

    It's a, it's a bad religion
To be in love with someone
    Who could never love you
Oh-oh-oh, only bad, only bad religion
Could have me feeling the way I do Writer/s: Charles Gambetta, Christopher Breaux, Kevin Ristro, Waynne Nugent

  • Trinettie From U.s.a from Elizabeth City North CarolineSo this song is one of my favorite songs from Frank Ocean, and I feel like it has something to do with how he feels about religion because he says he is Christian, but he is still finding himself. He uses the phrase "Allahu Akbar" to express that he worships the person he loves, and that person doesn't feel the same way, so he says "... unrequited love, to me it's nothing but a one man cult..." This basically means that he feels that he is putting all his love into this person, and they don't feel the same way, which is sad, but I can relate to it, sadly and I love this song because its so touching and its a great song and I'm so glad he out time and effort into this song and made it about his experience that's why I like this song and I feel bad for him but a least he told that person and never keep it bottled up inside that what I love about this song and frank ocean have great day and bye
