  • Shot like an arrow through my heart
    That's the pain I feel
    I feel whenever we're apart
Not to say that I'm in love with you
But who's to say that I'm not
I just know that it feels wrong when I'm away too long
    It makes my body hot

So let me tell ya, baby, I'll tell your mama
    I'll tell your friends
I'll tell anyone who's heart can comprehend
Send it in a letter, baby, tell you on the phone
I'm not the kinda girl who likes to be alone

I miss ya much, I really miss you much (M, I, S, S you much)
I miss ya much, baby, I really miss ya much (M, I, S, S you much)

I'm rushing home just as soon as I can
I'm rushing home to see your smiling face
    And feel your warm embrace
It makes me feel so g-g-g-good

So I'll tell ya baby I'll tell your mama
    I'll tell your friends
I'll tell anyone who's heart can comprehend
Send it in a letter baby tell you on the phone
I'm not the kinda girl who likes to be alone

I miss ya much, I really miss you much (M, I, S, S you much)
I miss ya much, baby, I really miss ya much (M, I, S, S you much)
I miss ya much, I really miss you much (M, I, S, S you much)
I miss ya much, baby, I really miss ya much (M, I, S, S you much)

    Miss you much
    I miss you much
    I really miss you much
    Miss you much
    I miss you much

I'll tell your mama (mama, mama)
I'll tell your friends (I tell your friends)
I'll tell anyone who's heart can comprehend, baby
Send it in a letter baby tell you on the phone (tell you on the phone)
I'm not the kinda girl who likes to be alone

I miss ya much, I really miss you much (M, I, S, S you much)
I miss ya much, baby, I really miss ya much (M, I, S, S you much)
I miss ya much, I really miss you much (M, I, S, S you much)
I miss ya much, baby, I really miss ya much (M, I, S, S you much)

  • Eugene from Minneapolis, MnThe LP "Rhythm Nation 1814" could have produced eight top 5 singles had "State Of The World" been available as a commercial single. Radio and Records was the only trade publication to chart this among other LP cuts that were also promo only singles by the likes Bon Jovi, Jermaine Jackson, Madonna, and yes Bart Simpson. I am talking about prior to making this common later on in the 1990s, that record companies withheld singles from the public so that the LP would sell. Anyway the single hit #4 on the CHR/Pop chart in the spring of 1991.
  • Rod from L.a., CaActually, "1814" stands for the 18th and 14th letter s in the alphabet..."R" and "N" as in Rhythm Nation.
