  • Some people stand in the darkness
Afraid to step into the light
Some people need to help somebody
On the edge of surrenders in sight

    Don't you worry,
    it's gonna be alright
    ‘cause I'm always ready
I won't let you outta my sight

(I'll be ready) I'll be ready
(Whenever you fear) oh don't you fear
    (I'll be ready)
Forever and always, I'm always here

In us we all have the power
But sometimes it's so hard to see
And instinct is stronger than reason
It's just human nature to me

    Don't you worry,
    it's gonna be alright
    ‘cause I'm always ready
I won't let you outta my sight

(I'll be ready) I'll be ready
(Whenever you fear) oh don't you fear
    (I'll be ready)
Forever and always, I'm always here

    ‘cause I'm always ready
I won't let you outta my sight

(I'll be ready) I'll be ready
(Whenever you fear) oh don't you fear
    (I'll be ready)
Forever and always, I'm always here
Forever and always, I'm always here Writer/s: Cory Lerios, Jimmy Jamison, Joe Henry, John D'Andrea

  • Patrick Longworth from Okanagan Falls, British Columbia, CanadaI wish to say thank you for including at least one song by Jimi Jamison who was the second, not the original, vocalist for rock band "Survivor". This song isn't a huge favourite but it is one of his hit songs and I love it for that alone.
  • Joe Henry from Los AngelesSome people need to HAVE somebody, When the edge of SURRENDER'S in sight... AN instinct...
  • Rachel from TucsonThere is an interview on You Tube (Medianiteradio) with Jimi stating that these are Christian lyrics. This was actually a Christian song but no one realized it at the time except for a writer for Playboy magazine!
