  • There I was completely wasting, out of work and down
All inside it's so frustrating as I drift from town to town
Feel as though nobody cares if I live or die
So I might as well begin to put some action in my life

Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law

So much for the golden future, I can't even start
I've had every promise broken, there's anger in my heart
You don't know what it's like, you don't have a clue
If you did you'd find yourselves doing the same thing too

Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law

You don't know what it's like

Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law

Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law Writer/s: Glenn Raymond Tipton, Kenneth Downing, Robert Halford

  • Dan Gillespy from Courtenay BcA very punk rock style Judas Priest classic. I love this song.
  • Wsc15 from CaAs I've gotten older I've started realizing how many Priest lyrics reference gay sex. I believe this to be one of them
  • Person from EarthI always thought that this song was about how Rob Halford was gay and how in the 60s and 70s in England it was illegal to be an active homosexual, so he wrote this song to speak up for him and all the other ones. Does anyone else think this or am I the only one? Especially when he says: "you don't know what it's like, you don't have a clue, and if you did you'd find yourself doing the same thing too" which seems to me to be referencing gay sex, since we can all have sex with whomever we want but him and the gays can't without getting arrested
  • Anton from EarthSeems like the older I get, the more lag there is before I like particular songs. Remember when this came out, didn't care for it, or the video, too "thug", it seemed. But now, this and Metalica's "One" seem examples of the best classic heavy metal. Shame it took this long to come around, but better late than never.
  • Laura from El Paso, TxYou can't possibly listen to this song without jammin' to it. I have a lot of friends that abandoned their love for Judas Priest when the singer came out, but they are an awesome band with a lot of great songs - this is my favorite of all of them.
  • Cyberpope from Richmond, CanadaThis was the REAL gangsta music! Me & my JD criminal buds used to toke up with Judas cranked regularly!
  • Charlie from Las Vegas, Nvthe way i see things there are some songs that get your testosterone levels skyrocketing. this one is DEFINITELY one of them.
  • Joe from Miami, Flit's a great song to learn on a guitar to impreezz the chicks
  • James from Indianapolis, InThis was ranked like 14th(?) on VH1s 100 Greatest Hard Rock Songs.
  • Shawn from Green Bay, WiThe ULTIMATE head-banging song, and yes, one of the great guitar riffs. JP IS heavy metal.
  • Matt from Houston, TxI keep telling my freinds we should have a judas preist montauge.Imagine this song playing while your ... well, breaking the law
  • Jason from Denver, CoOne of the greatest guitar riffs in the history of heavy metal !!!
  • Blake from Tahlequah, OkI know dang how can you call yourself a rock-n-rolla without hearing this!!!
  • Michael from Morris County, NjAwesome song. How come i'm the only one to comment?????
