  • Don't even think about reachin' me, I won't be home
Don't even think about stoppin' by, don't think of me at all
I did, what I had to do, if there was a reason, it was you...

Aah...don't even think about gettin' inside
    Voices in me head...ooh, voices
I got scratches, all over my arms
One for each day, since I fell apart
I did...oh, what I had to do, if there was a reason, it was you

Footsteps in the hall, it was you, you...oh...
Pictures on my chest, it was you, it was you...

Hey...I did, what I had to do...oh, and if there was a reason
Oh, there wasn't no reason, no
And if, there's something you'd like to do
Just let me continue, to blame you

Footsteps in the hall, it was you, you...oh...
Pictures on my chest, it was you, you...oh... Writer/s: EDDIE JEROME VEDDER, STONE C. GOSSARD

  • Jonah from Thornhill, Canadawhats the show where he goes, "so this is act 3"?
  • Doug Cataldo from Chatham, Nji think this is one Eddie's deepest songs, it sounds very good especially with the hermonica in it.
  • Danny from Atlanta, GaThere is an international version of TEN that has 3 extra songs. Wash, Alive (Live - the video version), and Dirty Frank. It is Yellow with the black stick figure logo on the front. Footsteps was NOT one of the 3 tracks, it is in fact on the original international single (as mentioned aby Elliot)... The performance of Footsteps itself was from Live Rockline (radio show) performance.
That single was released in the US years later along with every International single in the PJ archive.
  • Elliot from St. Louis, MoFootsteps was not on the American release of TEn. The only bonus track on that one was Master/slave, found at the beginning of Once, and at the end of Release. Footsteps is track 3 on the single for Jeremy. Track 2 is Yellow Bedletter.
  • Nick from Melbourne, AustraliaThere was an overseas realease of the Ten album that had 3 bonus tacks on it. I think it was a Japanese release.
  • Chris from Topeka, KsAre you sure that this is on the ten album? because I have that album and it's not on my album, and I then looked up all of their cd's on cdnow and found that it was on the Lost Dogs Cd on the second cd track #4.
  • Fiona from Philadelphia, PaEddie's voice never sounded better! So much better than "Times of Trouble".
