  • Oh, uh, me flakes, then uh, scrambled
    Eggs, bacon, sausages, tomatoes toast
Coffee marmalade, I like marmalade yes
    Porridge is nice any cereal
I like all cereals oh God kickoff is 10am

Breakfast in Los Angeles, macrobiotic stuff

    I don't mind a barrow
I like barrowing the stuff in
I've got a terrible back when I work
It hurts me d'you know what I mean, John?
Well he's sort of, err… when driving on
The road he has a sleep
Gets ready for the gig i don't know
He does all the electrical stuff i
Can't be bothered with that, it's so fiddly

All my head's a blank Writer/s: DAVID JON GILMOUR, NICK MASON, RICK WRIGHT, ROGER WATERS

  • Fenderbender from LondonI love Alan’s P B.
  • Robert from Why?The soundtrack to my morning!! The songs on Atom Heart Mother from best to not best (they're all awesome!)are:

    Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast
    Fat Old Sun
    If
    Atom Heart Mother (title song)
    Summer '68

Alan's Breakfast is very intuitive, Fat Old Sun is a complete classic, If is a beautiful guitar melody, Atom Heart Mother is beautiful (although a bit strange in the middle), and Summer '68 has some nice riffs and is catchy.
  • Deethewriter from Saint Petersburg, Russia FederationAlan Styles R.I.P.= - Died 12-8-2011[Pneumonia] - He was 75 years old - Roadie for Pink Floyd. He did voice and sound effects for the Pink Floyd song , Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast. Appeared on the cover of Pink Floyd's LP, Ummagumma.
  • Ben from Rohnert Park, Cathis song makes me so hungry for breakfast!!
  • Anthony from Denver, CoI love the first part, sounds very Baroque in a way, with four distinct pieces being played in alternating rotation, like Row-Row-Row your Boat....
  • Terry from Wickford, RiGilmour played bass on many, many Floyd tracks. He always joked about how Roger would come up to him and thank Gilmour for winning him "Best Bassist" awards in music magazines.
  • Chloe from St. Louis, MoThe most delicious song I've ever heard.
  • Oldpink from New Castle, InI love this quirky piece, especially Dave's beautiful slide and acoustic work for "Sunny Side Up."
They also performed it four times, with only one of those performances having been captured by a taper.
That was the December 22, 1970, Town Hall, Sheffield, England gig.
They jammed away on it, cooking breakfast on stage, and turned on a "radio" that was actually a tape player with a sped up recording of DJ Jimmy Young.
Nick is also heard making some funny comments, saying such things as "Yech! This is disgusting...I mean it isn't even music."
  • Allison from A Little Ol' Town In, MiThis song is awesome. Stretches your imagination.
  • Scott from Portland, OrWaters was off doing soundtrack music with Geesin for "The Body" when this was recorded. Gilmour said they were very very pressed for time when they recorded this as they were about to leave on a tour. Like Ummagumma, he said they were thinking about rerecording it (and like Ummagumma, it never happened!).
  • Prashant from Ktm, OtherI like your artistic sense, but as the others said, it's disappoiting that you omitted the most brilliant parts of the song which I remember to be after 3:32 and 4:30. Why don't you make a full version?
  • Prashant from Ktm, Otherwicked man...you have some very kewl imagination...and a big talent in creating movies...and the pink floyd think only makes it better
  • Brian from Highland, IlHe has been known to play bass. Check out Syd Barrett's solo work.
  • Mark B. Stoned from Desperate Hot Springs, CaSo if there is very prominent bass in the song, but Roger Waters did not perform on it, does that mean that it's David Gilmour playing bass?
