  • Johnny, angry Johnny
    This is Jezebel in Hell

    I wanna kill you
    I wanna blow you away
    I wanna kill you
    I wanna blow you away

I can do it you gently
I can do it with an animal's grace
I can do it with precision
I can do it with gourmet taste

    But either way
    Either, either way
    I wanna kill you
    I wanna blow you away

I can do it to your mind
I can do it to your face
I can do it with integrity
I can do it with disgrace

    But either way
    Either way
    I wanna kill you
    I wanna blow you away

    Johnny, angry Johnny
This is Jezebel in Hell, Johnny
    Johnny, angry Johnny
    This is Jezebel in Hell

I can do it in a church
I can do it any time or place
I can do it like an angel
    To quiet down your rage

    But either way
    Either, oh either way
    I wanna kill you
    I wanna blow you away

I can do it in the water
I can do on dry land
I can do it with instruments
I can do it with my own bare hands

    But either way, either way
    You know where it stands
    I wanna kill you
    I wanna blow you away

    Johnny, angry Johnny
    This is Jezebel in Hell
    Johnny, oh my Johnny

    Where did your pleasure go
When the pain came through you?
    Where did your happiness go?
This force is running you around now
    Getting you down now
Where is your pleasure now Johnny?
Where has your pleasure gone now?

    Johnny, angry Johnny
    This is Jezebel in Hell
    Johnny, angry Johnny
    This is Jezebel in Hell

    Johnny, I wanna blow you
    Oh Johnny, away
Johnny, I wanna blow you away
Johnny, every body really doesn't feel okay

  • Late To The Party from ArkansasAm I the only one who thinks this should have been in one of the John Wick movies? Intro song for a female antagonist? While I am sure that the lyrics aren't about that character, man it sounds perfect for it...
  • Moosehead from Scplease check out the Haunted. title track is one of the best songs ever
  • Valence Arden from UsaWiki "La Petite Mort". I mean, really.
  • KevinShe has done vocals on a few songs for Conjure One you may like.
  • Sula from TampaI hear this song as a general response to misogyny. There are several male photos on the bed frame, and as "John" is the most common name in the English language, it pulls all men into its purview. A "Jezebel" in colloquial usage refers to a sexually promiscuous woman. Sexually promiscuous women are punished by our society- especially by men, both historically and currently- and this one's not taking it anymore. She's gonna get "the man." Fascinating.
  • Jimmy from SeattleI love this song too Heather, though I'm not sure the 'Songfacts.com' staff writer got it entirely correct. First off, there are several versions of 'Angry Johnny' - the "jazzy" version (video above) is the best known, but the "Band Version" is my favorite. Much harder edge - the singer channels her "Angry Poe." That version seems to really nix this site's analysis that it's generic anger, "boiling inside all of us." I hear a definite female rage at man, or men in general. Especially chilling are the closing bars: She exhales/blows harshly into the mic, then calmly speaks a line (damned if I can make out what she says), exhales and speaks another line, then calmly whispers "goodbye" as the fade ends. Seems to me Johnny was fading to black right there - and her anger hath been satiated ... gawd I love it.
  • Heather from Mead, Nei love this song because its so strange and demented.
