  • Today, up on this hill
    I'm counting all the killers
    They sway as they swarm
A look of gluttons in their eyes
They mutter as the body loses warmth
They pick your bones like locks inside a tomb
And take great care to not take care of you

    Here's an unexplainable one

    Here's an unexplainable one

While I was learning to live
we all were living a lie
I guess you got what you wanted
So I will settle for a slaughterhouse soaked in blood and betrayal
    It's always somebody else
    somebody else was me
    You want the real smile?
Or the one I used to practice not to feel like a failure?

I don't need you to do it for me
I don't need you to understand
I don't need you to hide it from me
I just want to feel like any other man
I won't show you the whole story
I won't show you the aftermath
I won't show you my allegory
    Don't look away
    Here's an unexplainable one

    Here's an unexplainable one

    Here's an unexplainable one

I'm not ahead of my time
I just drew the first breath
    If I'm alive tomorrow
    I will alleviate the pressure
by cutting you out of me
    I found my bottom line
    dead on the front lines
I know I'll never go home
So set fire to your ships and past regrets and be free

I don't need you to do it for me
I don't need you to understand
I don't need you to hide it from me
I just want to feel like any other man
I won't show you my whole story
I won't show you the aftermath
I won't show you my allegory
    Don't look away
    Here's an unexplainable one
    What have you done?
    What have you done?

    Yeah

While I was learning to live
You taught me how to die
    I guess I got what I wanted
Another needle in the back through purified scarification
    It wasn't somebody else
You fucking did it to me
    You want a real smile?
I haven't smiled in years Writer/s: Alessandro Venturella, Corey Taylor, Craig Jones, Jay Weinberg, Jim Root, Mick Thomson, Shawn Crahan, Sid Wilson

  • David Dhd from NyThe ability to take themselves and their fans and bypass the depressed part of depression and jump right into a "controlled" Rage is second to none! But they impress and amaze me the most by how they are able "beat around the bush" in metaphors yet steer you right to the culprits. I've been more sure about who truly is "my kind" because they haven't stopped getting my attention since 95! I deny eve The Lie is heard! Say 10 to Luci for Me!
  • Lucifer Klaus from WisconsinI've listened to Solway Firth an upwards of 500 times and it still manages to give me the chills. It can get you to reflect on past trauma while simultaneously inspiring you to overcome it and conquer the world. Not a millisecond of wasted noise. My favorite song of all time.
  • A Canuck from CanadaThis song is just unreal to me. I haven't gotten enough of it since it's release 2 years ago.
But the interpretation of it is what gets me here.
Of course art is always supposed to speak to people in different unique ways, but in the case of many songs on the WANYK album... WOW can you ever feel the raw emotion Corey has and what he went through with his ex wife. This came from deep, and dang does it feel good to listen this music
  • Pappy from HoustonNever have i listened to a song more than this one.
This group is outstanding in their ability to act as a machine. The vocals are on point, drumming is unheard of and the guitar and bass is simply astonishing. DJ Starscream and Craig are the cherry on top. A very great band.
