  • I'm the problem
    I'm, I'm, I'm the problem, it's
    I'm the problem
    I'm, I'm the problem, it's

I have this thing where I get older but just never wiser
    Midnights become my afternoons
When my depression works the graveyard shift
All of the people I've ghosted stand there in the room

I should not be left to my own devices
They come with prices and vices
    I end up in crisis
    (Tale as old as time)
I wake up screaming from dreaming
One day I'll watch as you're leaving
'Cause you got tired of my scheming
    (For the last time)

It's me, hi, I'm the problem, it's me
    At tea time, everybody agrees
I'll stare directly at the sun but never in the mirror
It must be exhausting always rooting for the anti-hero

Sometimes I feel like everybody is a sexy baby
And I'm a monster on the hill
Too big to hang out, slowly lurching toward your favorite city
Pierced through the heart, but never killed

Did you hear my covert narcissism
    I disguise as altruism
    Like some kind of congressman?
    (Tale as old as time)
I wake up screaming from dreaming
One day I'll watch as you're leaving
And life will lose all its meaning
    (For the last time)

It's me, hi, I'm the problem, it's me (I'm the problem, it's me)
At tea time, everybody agrees (everybody agrees)
I'll stare directly at the sun but never in the mirror
It must be exhausting always rooting for the anti-hero

    I'll stare, I'll stare
    I'll stare direct-, I'll stare
    I'll stare, I'll stare
I'll stare direct-, I'll stare (always rooting for the anti-hero)

It's me, hi, I'm the problem, it's me
It's me, hi, I'm the problem, it's me
    It's me, h
    Everybody agrees, everybody agrees

    I'm the problem
    I'm, I'm, I'm the problem, it's
I'm the problem (I'll stare directly at the sun)
I'm, I'm the problem, it's (but never in the mirror)
    I'm the problem
    I'm, I'm, I'm the problem, it's
    I'm the problem
    I'm the problem, it's

It's me, hi (hi), I'm the problem, it's me (I'm the problem, it's me)
At tea (tea) time (time), everybody agrees (everybody agrees)
I'll stare directly at the sun but never in the mirror
It must be exhausting always rooting for the anti-hero

    I'll stare direct-, I'll stare
    I'll stare direct-, I'll stare
    I'll stare direct-
Always rooting for the anti-hero Writer/s: Jack Michael Antonoff, Taylor Alison Swift

  • Ebkita from Parkville MoTo Philadelphia, she left it all to her cats.
  • Swiftie from NswShe is amazing and such good music but I want to know what instruments are played during her chorus of anti hero!
  • Not An American Idiot from IndianaThat sounds like a nice cover up. However, this song is 100% about Donald Trump and how stupid he is. "At TEE time" because he was always golfing. "Sometimes, I feel like everybody is a sexy baby, And I'm a monster on the hill" the Hill being Capitol Hill. "I have this dream my daughter-in-law kills me for the money She thinks I left them in the will" refers to one of his son's wives. "I'll stare directly at the sun, but never in the mirror" he is a narcissist and will never admit how horrible he is. The whole song refers to him, in code.
  • The Philadelphia Drifter from On The Border Of Tempe & Mesa ArizonaNice job on the song and the video and can laughingly cause one to spiral down (or up) into the never ending loop. Kinda like 'you probly think this song is about you, don't you.' But of course it is! Keep up the good work. BTW: who is in the will?
  • DylonOk, so like the music video popped up on youtube the same day Black Adam was officially released in theaters, right? And I thought “Whoa, did they actually get Taylor Swift to do a song for this movie?” So I watch the vid, and of course it has nothing whatsoever to do with Black Adam or DC

and I just felt really dumb for thinking there was any connection for even a second -_-'
