  • All of the lonely nights
Waiting for you to come, longing to hold you tight
    I need you so desperately
Waiting for you to come bringing your love to me [but]
    I'd wait a million years
Walk a million miles, cry a million tears
    I'd swim the deepest sea
Climb the highest hill, just to have you near me
    As love is reality
When you are near to me, I am in ecstacy
I'd swallow the pain and pride
Baby, I just can't hide all that I feel inside [and]
    I'd wait a million years
Walk a million miles, cry a million tears
    I'd swim the deepest sea
Climb the highest hill, just to have you near me
A million years, I would wait for you
A million tears, baby I'd be true
A million miles, I would follow you
A million years, if you want me to
    Pacing the floor, detest
Sweat pouring down my chest, still I can't love you less
It's worth all the pain and pride
Baby, I just can't hide all that I feel inside [and]
    I'd wait a million years
Walk a million miles, cry a million tears
    I'd swim the deepest sea
Climb the highest hill, just to have you near me Lyrics licensed and provided by LyricFind

    * "Temptation Eyes" did not enter the Top 100 until December 20th, 1970 and peaked at #15 on March 28th, 1971 {and just as a side note; on March 28th “Just My Imagination” by the Temptations was at #1}.
  • Camille from Toronto, Oh1969 is just one of those banner years where sooo much great music was created. This tune by the Grass Roots is a prime example. Great lyrics and vocals.
  • Joel from Columbus, OhI can identify. I have been chasing my best friend, Zoey, for what seems like a million years. She's sweet, kind, attractive, affectionet, etc....
  • Ted from Phoenix, AzThe thumping bass drum at the beginning of this song was a harbinger of things to come; it presaged late-1970s disco.
