  • I can almost hear you sigh
I can almost hear you cry
    On every crowded street
All the places we would meet

    What'll I do without ya
They say that life goes on
    I'm feeling sorry for myself
    I can't believe you're gone

And you acted much too calm
    Turned on all the charm
You had a cold look in your eyes

I can feel your tongue on mine
    Silky smooth like wine
    I'm living with these memories
It's all that's left of you and me

I can almost hear you sigh
    Almost hear you cry
When you made sweet love to me
And you turned on all the charm
    Acted much too calm
You had a cold look in your eyes

    Did it mean nothing
    Was it all in vain
Or was I just your fool
    Or was the pleasure pain

And have you set me free
Or will I wake up in the morning
And find out it's been a bad dream

    Come on, I beg you
I wanna be your main man

I can almost hear you sigh
    Almost hear you cry
When you make sweet love to me
I can almost see your smile
    It stretched half a mile
You had a stone cold look in your eyes

    Mmm yeah
    Oh, come on
    Almost see you there
    I don't need no photograph
    Come on, come on, girl
    Nothing left to say now
    Can't believe, can't believe you're gone
    I just, can't believe, can't believe you're gone
    No, no
Come on baby, yeah Writer/s: Keith Richards, Michael Phillip Jagger, Stephen K Jordan

  • Anonymous from Delray Beach FloridaGreat song tells a sad story of guy losing his girl- that cold look in your eye says it all ! Richards wrote the song(classic)
  • Bellestarr from California It's a real the original video for this song has been blocked for copyright reasons. Mick's emotional performance in the video is priceless. Why the copyright holder blocks the video so it can't be seen is beyond me and its an artistic shame.
  • Richard from New Windsor, NyThis song hits you in the heart. My interpretation of this song, is a man caught the love of his life cheating on him unexpectedly thinking everything in the relationship was fine. The video to this song is awesome. All of the Stones seem to act out the feeling of this song. Mick seems shocked and sad, Keith appears to be thinking and feeling sad with his guitar, Ronnie looks shocked, Charlie looks like he is just a little down but going about his business. Just Incredible.
  • Michael from Costa Mesa, CaThis is one of the best songs on the "Steel Wheels" album..the other two gret songs are "Rock and a Hard Place" and "Mixed Emotions"
  • Johnny from Los Angeles, CaAmazing song. And I have never heard it before now (I love rolling stones radio). That's the thing about the stones, they just keep on producing material.
  • Ethan from Portland, OrBeautiful song; I wish they would play it on the ABB tour. Not gonna happen, though.
  • Rory from Victoria, CanadaI'm really conflicted about this song, sometimes I love it sometimes I hate it. But maybe that's how it is meant to be.
  • Chris from Chicago, IlJagger changed Keith's lyric "feel your lips on mine" to "feel your tounge on mine".
  • Susan from Mk, EnglandThis song is beautiful, it always makes me cry and remember my childhood sweetheart..
  • Chelsea from Nyc, OrKeith does a great "classical" style guitar break on Accoustic.
