  • Take me back
    I wanna remember

I wanna go back to the days, undiscovered
Our hearts held inside our hands, and the world in front of us

    Because I wanna remember
The way that we lived and who we were
I wanna remember who we are

    I won't forget the memories, I know
You'll always be a part of me, and
Every way you changed me still shines through
You're the light that I follow home
Every way you changed me still shines through
I can't replace you (replace you, replace you, replace you)
I can't replace you (replace you, replace you, replace you)

I wanna go back, just to say, just to tell you
That your home is in my heart and you'll always live in us

    I won't forget the memories, I know
You'll always be a part of me, and
Every way you changed me still shines through
You're the light that I follow home
Every way you changed me still shines through
    I can't replace you

    All the words you sang
We sing them back for you
    From the first note
And all the words you sang
We sing them back for you
    In every step we take
    We carry on for you

And all the words you sang
We sing them back for you
    From the first note
(The first note that was ever sang)
And all the words you sang
We sing them back for you

    I won't forget the memories, I know
You'll always be a part of me, I know

    I won't forget the memories, I know
You'll always be a part of me, and
Every way you changed me still shines through
You're the light that I follow home
Every way you changed me still shines through
I can't replace you (replace you, replace you, replace you)
I can't replace you (replace you, replace you, replace you)
I can't replace you Writer/s: Andy Glass, Brian Cotton, Dave Stephens, David Puckett, Joshua Moore

  • Debra from Accord, NyMy son heard this song and brought it to me and said ‘mom, listen to this song’. He said to me ‘it says this is it, we aren’t getting Jon back’. I was beside myself and I cried because we lost his brother-law who was Jon on October 8th 2018 in a tragic car accident. Still to this day listen to this song. Thank you for it.
