• This song, the first track on the album, is a fantasy about making love to a girl in Brooklyn. In the spring of 1968, Al was in New York City where he met a girl named Enid Eidinoff at a party. She agreed to put him up for a night or two, apparently somewhat reluctantly. Her attitude was not quite so lukewarm when she realized he was a friend of Paul Simon, whom he was helping out as a "roadie" although they were actually traveling by helicopter. As Al admitted in his authorized biography, apart from their meeting the entire story as related in the song is "completely made up". >>>
