Songfacts®:

  • This introspective song was recorded during the making of Jagged Little Pill, but excluded from the final tracklisting. It was finally made available in 2015 on Jagged Little Pill: Collector's Edition, which was released to mark the original album's 20th anniversary. The record includes all the original tracks remastered plus ten unreleased demos, Jagged Little Pill Acoustic and a full live concert recorded at London's Subterranea venue on September 28, 1995.
  • Morissette told Billboard magazine about the motivation behind this track. "Having been labeled many things - weird, intense, intimidating, scary, psychobabbler, and my favorite: 'too much,' I wanted to write a song about having all these qualities within me to contend with," she said, "in a world that loves to reduce and categorize."
